30L and 40L Binclips fitting

Below are the fitting instructions for your 30L and 40L Brabantia bin lid clip. This isn’t rocket science, but it’s worth taking a little time and care to get your BinClip™ stuck on tight in the right position.

1.  Thoroughly clean the lid in the area of the pin on both sides of the rim with hot, soapy water and dry thoroughly. The cleaner you make the lip area the better the glue will bond.

2.  Carefully remove any remains of the original striker pin with a sharp knife so that you are left with a clean flat surface as shown:

30L - 1

3.   Take the new clip and ensure that it will side into position ***DO NOT FORCE THE CLIP****.  If it is still tight then simply remove any remaining trace of the old pin stump. Once in position close the lid to ensure it will align with the clasp in the lid and remain closed.

30L - 2

4.   Open the lid and with a pencil draw a line at the side of the clip to mark the position and then remove.

5.   Add three of spots of glue from the hot glue gun to the slot (A spot from each open side of the clip).

30L - 3

6.   Quickly push the clip back into position ensuring there is no excess glue then close down the lid to ensure it will set in the correct position.

7.   Check operation is good and allow to set.

8.   If you are happy with our 30L and 40L Brabantia bin lid fix, then why not put the package label discretely beneath the clasp on the inside of the lid so that you have a reference to the clip type.

Should it snap off in the future, you can order directly from our website to save more money.
